Following the success of Translate Porto for APTRAD, the Portuguese Association of Translators and Interpreters, Dotgraf was invited to craft the visual identities for both Translate Coimbra and now Translate Guimarães.

While Coimbra’s design highlighted its architectural essence and academic heritage, Translate Guimarães presented a new challenge: capturing the duality of history and modernity in the city known as the birthplace of Portugal.

The illustration draws from Guimarães’ rich cultural background, featuring the iconic José de Guimarães Arts Center—a beacon of contemporary creativity—with the novelty of the Aerial Tramway ascending to Penha Mountain, contrasting with Medieval Architecture. This blend of historical gravitas and fresh, dynamic energy mirrors the innovative spirit of the Translate event series.

Dotgraf continues to celebrate the distinct identities of Portugal's cities, ensuring a cohesive yet unique visual language for each event.
